This section is designed to serve as a resource to answer your questions about obtaining a visa to enter the territory of the United States.

Participants are responsible for their own visa arrangements! Please contact the World Forum Technical Secretariat to obtain a letter of invitation to submit with your visa application. Please click here to view a copy of a standard letter of invitation. The World Forum Technical Secretariat will not reimburse any visa-related fees. If you would like the World Forum Technical Secretariat to issue a letter of invitation for you, please complete the Visa Invitation Request Form.

Many visas take at least several weeks to process, but some may take longer. Please allow extra time in your planning. Here are the steps to obtaining a U.S. visa, please visit this site http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/ for details.

5 Steps to Obtaining a U.S. Visa at a Glance

Step 1 - Visit the http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/ site.

Step 2 - Make an appointment to visit the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Visa application procedures vary among Embassies and Consulates, depending on local needs.

Step 3 - Get all your documentation ready. You will need a valid passport, appropriate applications, supporting documents, proof of payment of fees.

Step 4 - Submit application, passport and supporting documents.

Step 5 - In some cases, additional reviews of your visa application may be required.

The World Forum Technical Secretariat will fully refund the registration fee before September 15, 2006 if an individual is not granted a visa to enter the United States or if there is a change in government regulations prohibiting entry into the U.S.
